The GSMA mEducation team hosted a pre-conference workshop on Monday 15 October, showcasing operator led mEducation innovation and Education Sector/Mobile Industry collaboration.
The workshop stimulated lively discussions and exchanges and we would like to thank all attendees for participating.

Speakers:
Françoise Tort, Senior Lecturer, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan and External Evaluator for Orange France
Françoise is a senior lecturer at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, one of the major French prestigious public institution of higher education and research. She is a member of the STEF (Science, Technology, Education and Training) research team. She was instrumental in the evaluation of the ‘TEN’ project, launched in June 2011, by Orange France, in partnership with Samsung and three local authorities for education. 65 teachers and 160 grade-6 pupils, in 8 schools, received tablets for use in the classroom and at home.
Mark McGinn, Head of O2 Learn, O2
Mark is currently Head of O2 Learn, which aims to help connect everyone to great teaching by building Britain’s biggest classroom. Previously Mark headed up International Marketing and Communications at (RED), the world’s leading cause-related marketing initiative, partnering with 13 iconic brands (including Nike, Apple, Starbucks, Converse, Armani, Dell, and GAP) to generate contributions for the Global Fund, to help eliminate AIDS in Africa
Giovanna Chiozzi, TI Lab & Global Consulting, Telecom Italia
Since 2001 Giovanna has been working for Telecom Italia S.p.A., first responsible for the Skill and Knowledge Management Competence Center of the Software Factory and then for Special Projects in TILab – Software Services and Solutions. She has developed skills particularly on online training, both for business and school environments, especially for innovative matters related to digital learning.
Paul Landers, Program Manager, Ericsson
Paul has worked with the design, development and delivery of bespoke learning and development solutions to corporate clients on a global basis. His speciality within this area lies within the sphere of organisational change, learning and development initiatives, and solutions focusing on learning management and comprehensive eLearning solutions.
