ETSI Next Generation eCall Plugtests 2020

ETSI Next Generation eCall Plugtests 2020

Start: Monday 26 October 2020

End: Friday 6 November 2020

Venue: Remote

ETSI, with the support of the European Commission, ETSI TC MSG, the sAFE 112 project and EENA, is organising the Next Generation eCall Plugtests 2020 event which will have a specific focus on the interoperability of Next Generation eCall (NG eCall) systems or eCall over Long Term Evolution (LTE), based on the interoperability test descriptions defined in ETSI TS 103 683.

Interoperability and NG eCall service harmonization are critical challenges to be taken into account for the successful deployment and operation of the NG eCall service. The NG eCall Plugtests event enables vendors to run interoperability test sessions using predefined test descriptions. In Vehicle System (IVS) and Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) vendors are invited to join the event.

The event will make use of the ETSI HIVE interoperability platform and services, enabling efficient communication and coordination between the participants, connected from remote locations. Regular debriefing sessions will be held where experts can answer technical questions or help resolve interoperability issues.

The event is free of charge and the registration deadline is 4 September 2020.
