Andrés Escribano Riesco
New IoT Connectivity Director
Telefónica

Andres Escribano is the New IoT Connectivity Director. He has been responsible for the Global IoT Connectivity business at Telefonica during the last 4 years (more than 18 Mll IoT lines around world), including the Telefonica IoT Platform Global Product Area, IoT Partners Program & Business Technology Area) and part of the IoT World Alliance Executive Board, GSMA Internet of Things Group.

Before that, he implemented and managed the ERP/PDM information systems at EADS (Airbus) for 8 years. He joined Telefonica in 1999 where he was responsible for IT and Security in Quam Switzerland (TEF Mobile Operations). For 8 years he was active in different organisations at Telefónica (Spain and Latam Corporation & MNCs) and managed the Presales Area in the Corporate/Multinationals Segment, with focus on the B2B Business.

 

Javier García Puga
Head of IoT Technology
Telefónica

Javier García Puga is the Head of Technology in the Global Internet of Things unit at Telefónica. This area defines the technology strategy within the IoT unit and provides technical support to the different business units.

Since 2000, he has been working at Telefónica, where he developed different positions related to mobile technology development and M2M, including the technical management of the Telefónica M2M Platform. He was also a board member of AIOTI (Alliance for Internet of Things Innovation) and holds 5 patents in Europe and the United States. Javier is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Universidad de Alcalá and holds a Master in Business Administration from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

 

Francisco Javier Zorzano Mier
Head of IoT Devices Technology
Telefónica

Javier Zorzano is the Head of IoT Devices Technology in the Global Internet of Things unit at Telefónica. This area interacts with the hardware ecosystem, making sure that Telefónica customers can access connected devices that make the best use of Telefónica networks.

Previously, Javier led the development and deployment of network management systems for Telefónica in Spain, Europe and Latin America. This work evolved into an interest towards processes and methodologies as the running engine of our companies.

Javier is Telecommunications Engineer by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
