BMW Group and Qualcomm Technologies present a C-V2X-equipped autonomous prototype vehicle. In this demonstration, when a BMW i3 approaches a pedestrian with a Qualcomm Snapdragon smartphone, the vehicle and the pedestrian smartphone exchange critical safety information via C-V2X sidelink (PC5), even in non-line of sight situations.
