The commitment of the mobile industry with SDG5 – Gender Equality
The mobile industry in Latin America is taking an active role in supporting and boosting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through a new “We Care” initiative, mobile operators in Argentina will sign a commitment which will be an important step towards the fulfillment of SDG5, on gender equality. In this session, representatives from Argentina’s Global Compact representation before United Nations, the Women 20 Group before G20, and the Ministry of Social Development from Argentina. The objective is to show the social impact that can be achieved through private-public partnerships as well as the contribution of different actors from the social ecosystem to reach gender equality.
