CAF, eLAC and the GSMA launch the Digital Ecosystem Capacity Building programme for regulators and civil servants in Chile

“Internet of Things” and “Competition Policy in the Digital Age”, the first of the 11 courses in the Digital Ecosystem Capacity Building programme (CE-Digital), will be held in Santiago de Chile from 25 to 28 April.

Santiago, 16 February 2016 – CAF – Development Bank of Latin America, eLAC and the GSMA today launched the Digital Ecosystem Capacity Building programme (CE-Digital), which they are jointly organising to support training processes for regulators and public policy makers in Latin America.

The programme comprises 11 capacity building courses that provide a unique insight into the latest developments in the telecommunications industry, public policy and regulatory issues.

The first two courses to launch this initiative will be:

Internet of Things: given by GSMA expert Stefano Nicoletti
Competition Policy in the Digital Age: by telecommunications expert Ernesto Flores-Roux.

The courses will run from 25 to 28 April 2016 and will be free of charge.

Delegates who would like to attend will only need to cover the cost of their travel and accommodation in Santiago de Chile. The capacity building courses will be held back to back, allowing attendees to do both if they wish. On completion, attendees will receive a certificate of accreditation.
