Boost highly efficient IoT connectivity with SIMCom LTE-A module solutions

At present, a new round of global scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation is accelerating. The wide application of new-generation technologies such as artificial intelligence, VR / AR, 3D media, and the internet of things has produced huge demands for data transmission. In addition, due to the influence of the global epidemic, people’s daily activities have turned to online platforms more than ever. As a result, the demands for mobile broadband are growing rapidly.

In order to meet the demands for terminal applications in the market, SIMCom has launched a new generation of LTE-A modules, including SIM7912 Cat. 12 series and SIM7906 Cat. 6 series to fully release the efficiency of LTE-A network and provide highly reliable, high-speed and safe wireless network accesses for customers.

LTE-Advanced is the upgraded version of LTE technology to increase the peak data

rates and backward compatibility of LTE-Advanced with LTE. Its purpose is to meet the high-speed requirements of specific application scenarios and maintain good

compatibility with LTE networks. LTE-A Key technology includes three major technical

innovations: 1) carrier aggregation 2) Higher-order modulation 3) MIMO antennas. With these technologies, the peak data rate, peak spectral efficiency, cell average spectral efficiency and cell-edge user performance of wireless communication

systems can be greatly improved.

The SIM7912 module series is designed for high performance IoT applications delivering LTE advanced connectivity under extreme conditions. With Cat.12 LTE advanced technology, the SIM7912 module series support data speeds of 300Mbit/s download and 50Mbit/s uplink.

The key features of SIM7912 module series including:

  • Multi form factor design: LGA and M.2 package for IoT market
  • Regional and global variants available for ensuring seamless global coverage
  • Special variants for supporting LAA(B46)/CBRS(B48)/B42/B43
  • Supports carrier aggregation which allows mobile network operators to combine two or more carriers into one data channel for enhanced data capacity, improved peak user performance and optimized use of spectrum
  • Providing excellent RF performance
  • Rich peripheral interfaces for applications in different industries
  • Reliable and stable network protocol
  • Support drivers for Linux/Android/Windows

The SIM7906 module series is designed for high performance IoT applications with high-speed network rate, diversified packaging design and abundant interfaces which allows customers to develop products as needed. It also supports varied networks and frequency bands across major global markets. Meanwhile, it is also adaptive to various internet protocols, operation systems, highlighting its impressive flexibility and compatibility.

The key features of SIM7906 module series including:

  • Multi Form Factor Design:LGA and M.2 package for IoT market
  • Regional and global variants available for ensuring seamless global coverage
  • Special variants for supporting LAA(B46)/CBRS(B48)/B42/B43
