Mavenir launches its Enhanced Messaging Hub based on the Rich Messaging Server (RMS)

Next Generation IP Messaging Hub Enhanced With Legacy Messaging Replacement And Migration To Cloud

Richardson, TX and Barcelona, Spain – Feb. 25, 2013 – Mavenir Systems, a leading provider of software-based networking solutions, today announced its Enhanced Messaging Hub that combines the past, present and future of messaging (SMS/M2M/MMS/VoiceMail/VideoMail/RCSe/RCS5/CPM) onto a single next generation platform, the Rich Messaging Server (RMS). As operators transition to an all-IP network based on LTE, the Enhanced Messaging Hub provides a simplified framework that will fully integrate legacy and IP messaging services, enable migration to the cloud and reduce operational costs.

This powerful Enhanced Messaging Hub consists of several key components built around Mavenir’s Rich Messaging Server which serves as the “hub”, and provides intelligent service interworking on the mOne® software platform.  The mStore™, which provides scalable, reliable, and flexible network-based storage capabilities across all of the Messaging Hub technologies, ensures message synchronization and multi-device access to conversation histories and user-generated content. Several service adapters from Mavenir’s extensive portfolio of legacy messaging applications function as high-performance routers and multi-access gateways, thus making the solution service domain agnostic.

“Our solution enables mobile operators to transform their messaging infrastructure, cap legacy investments and introduce next generation services such as RCS, VideoMail, Web Messaging, while migrating to the cloud,” said Pardeep Kohli, President and CEO, Mavenir Systems.   “We have already begun the transformation process with several key wins, helping operators evolve their messaging infrastructures for a converged future.”

The Enhanced Messaging Hub utilizes the mOne® virtualization technology to migrate an operator’s messaging infrastructure to the cloud and provide capacity elasticity to adapt to changing usage patterns. Dynamic capacity elasticity automatically reallocates HW resources from legacy services to next-generation high-growth IP services and provides additional capacity on demand for traffic peaks. The migration to the cloud is simplified by Automated mCloud™ Manager, which provides an essential management tool for the end-to-end solution across application, virtualization and hardware layers.

At Mobile World Congress2013 in Barcelona, there will be demonstration of Mavenir’s commercially deployed RCS 5 solution as well as demos on WebRTC, VoLTE, VoWi-Fi and Capacity Elasticity of a Virtualized IMS System. Visit us at Booth 6E60.
