Verona, 18th September 2019 – rdcom, one of the key Italian players in the mobile messaging sphere, will host the first Italian round table dedicated to RCS (Rich Communication Services) in Verona.
The event “RCS – here we are!” will be held on Thursday, September 26th starting from 9am at the headquarters of rdcom, Via dei Castagni 9, Verona.
In the morning, after the welcome and introduction to the event by the CEO of rdcom, Daniele Poerio and Dario Betti (MEF – Mobile Ecosystem Forum), Fabian Teichmueller – Head of Communication Products Partnerships, DACH, Central, Eastern Southern Europe in Google – will talk about “RCS and Rich Business Messaging: Achieving scale and offering product innovation”.
Following this, Daniele Poerio will present both national and international case studies, which will be followed by the GSMA’s, Catherine Maguire providing insights into, “Global RCS Status and Handset Adoption”. Marta Valsecchi (Osservatori Digital Innovation Politecnico di Milano) will provide a comprehensive insight into the Italian digital marketing sector, while the Founder and Chief Industry Analyst of Mobilesquared, Nick Lane, will discuss “Forecasts of the RCS and SMS in the Italian market”.
In the afternoon, there will be a round table attended by MNO and SMS aggregators.
Daniele Poerio – CEO and founder of rdcom –has worked hard to organise this event in order to provide a view of the forthcoming advancements in mobile messaging. Poerio commented: “Currently personal messaging is done via messaging apps. Business communication is trying to catch that trend, but to succeed it is crucial for operators to have a platform that is able to manage activities with increasing level of complexity”.
The RCS protocol has been developed by the GSMA in cooperation with the main telco companies, the main mobile phone suppliers, and Google, which will offer the universal advanced messaging service.
rdcom is a Google partner for its Jibe project: Jibe is a cloud platform able to offer servers and software for RCS messaging and to make it easier to send RCS messages among mobile networks.
