Achilles Information to work with GSMA to raise standards across complex telecoms supply chains

Achilles Information, global leader in supply chain risk and performance management, has today become an official associate member of the GSMA – the Global System for Mobile Communications Association.  The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting more than 750 operators with almost 400 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem.

Achilles will become associate member of GSMA, offering solutions and consultancy around the issue of supply chain risk, visibility and sustainability.  The fast-paced evolution of the telecoms sector requires supply chains that perform flawlessly and meet critical humanitarian and environmental standards.

30 years of operating across the world in complex, fast moving markets means that Achilles is well placed to advise GSMA members around a number of critical issues.  The experience of working in adjacent sectors, from high risk health and safety environments such as Oil and Gas, to the technological advancements in the automotive industry, means that the Achilles team is well placed to advise on a number of hot topics for the telecoms industry, including the roll out of 5G infrastructure and connected car.

Katie Tamblin, Chief Product Officer at Achilles Information commented: “We are delighted to have become associate members of the GSMA, focussing on performance and risk within the supply chain.  Achilles has a long history of elevating supply chain standards – helping our customers climb in industry rankings for key areas like health and safety, sustainability and responsible sourcing. In such uncertain times, enabling our members to find assured alternate supply for critical items has been a key focus for Achilles.

“We look forward to supporting GSMA member businesses with this expertise, helping to unlock efficiencies in their supply chain management programmes and reach their sustainable development goals.”
