eServGlobal to provide mobile money for a multinational mobile operator group

eServGlobal (LSE:ESG & ASX:ESV) announces it has won a significant US$12m strategic framework contract with a major mobile operator group in the Middle East and North Africa. Using eServGlobal’s software, this operator group will deliver end-to-end mobile money services to its subscribers across countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

The comprehensive solution encompasses a complete mobile money platform, enabling services such as electronic top-up, mobile wallets, mobile banking, online payments, salary disbursements, peer-to-peer money transfer, micro finance, bill payment, payment at a merchant and airtime recharge.

Deployment across all affiliates which the mobile group operates is expected to deliver revenues in excess of US$12 million over the next three years. The first mobile money installations and revenues are expected to begin in the second half of eServGlobal’s current financial year with further deployments taking place in the coming years.

eServGlobal was chosen for this trans-affiliate implementation following a formal tendering and strict selection process by the group, based on the unmatched benefits and maturity of its field-proven solution, including a strong portfolio of customers across the Middle East and North Africa region.

eServGlobal currently provides airtime recharge solutions to several of the group operations, and this contract underlines the strategic importance of the Company’s existing PayMobile footprint.

eServGlobal supplies mobile money services to operators and service providers worldwide as well as supporting a substantial installed base of recharge customers. The PayMobile platform is currently deployed at more than 25 customers and used every day by more than 250 million prepaid subscribers worldwide.
