Partnering with Mobile Operators worldwide Anam’s SMS Assure monetises A2P
SMS traffic terminating on their networks. The company’s SMS firewall is
key to the monetization process by ensuing that only legitimate and billed
A2P SMS traffic is delivered to the MNO’s subscribers. Traffic which
circumvents legitimate paths is referred to as Grey Route and Anam’s
Managed Service team performs ongoing monitoring & analysis of detected
grey route traffic to determine origin and form. One phenomenon observed
to be on the increase by our Managed Services team is the use of SIM Boxes
to originate A2P SMS traffic.

In this whitepaper (produced in partnership with Telecoms.com) we recap on
the A2P SMS industry, explain how SIM boxes are being used to originate
grey route traffic and then go on to explore the measures that Mobile
Operators can put in place to guard against this type of fraud and protect
their A2P SMS revenues. Download the full whitepaper Fighting the threat
of SIM boxes to A2P SMS revenues
