MACH Brings Data Analysis To Life With ‘My Visuals’ Launch

Forward-looking solution visualizes crucial network metrics to provide at-a-glance insight into roaming strategy for mobile network operators

Luxembourg, 14th May, 2013 – MACH, the leading provider of cloud-based managed communication services, today announced the launch of its ‘My Visuals’ solution, which provides mobile network operators (MNOs) with powerful insight into the behavior of roaming subscribers in a straightforward, graphical format. By capturing subscriber activity around preset KPIs in a simple dashboard, ‘My Visuals’ helps MNOs avoid lengthy and complex data analysis, to enable fast, informed decisions about their roaming business strategy.

MNOs worldwide are increasingly aware of the business value of subscriber data analysis. Mind Commerce recently estimated that the brokerage of subscriber data is expected to account for nearly US$13 billion in global revenues worldwide by 2017. [i] By underpinning business strategies with this data, MNOs can make informed decisions about their retail roaming strategy, based on how subscribers are using their network and the services that are most likely to prove both popular and lucrative. This can yield huge benefits, such as reducing subscriber churn and increasing ARPU/AMPU (Average Revenue Per User/ Average Margin Per User) through more personalized services, or creating more successful marketing campaigns and service offerings.

Nick Wennekers, Director, Online Business Management Solutions, MACH, commented: “While the data we capture is extremely useful, all too often it requires painstaking analysis before it can support business decisions. Our customers want some key statistics to quickly analyze their roaming business. They are time-limited and they need a solution that can bring to life the most important metrics in their data at a glance. By using preset KPIs and pushing visual dashboards directly to our customers, we can ensure they do not need to waste time seeking out data, analyzing statistics or setting up measurement parameters. Our customers will find the crucial data they need at their fingertips, ready to direct them towards strategies that will create long-term success.

The first ‘My Visuals’ dashboard has already launched and is targeted at MNO marketing departments. By providing deep insight into the behaviour of roaming subscribers, these dashboards allow more targeted retail offerings to be developed. Dashboard KPIs can cover all aspects of an MNO’s business, including which services are being used and when, the most popular handset types in use, data volumes consumed and subscribers that are inactive when roaming. Future dashboards will provide dedicated analytical overviews tailored for different departments within MNOs, for example staff working in areas like fraud protection, revenue assurance, network analysis or benchmark analysis.

MACH’s ‘My Visuals’ solution is available via a flexible subscription, letting MNOs determine how often they receive updates, and will be fully integrated into ‘MACH Unity’, MACH’s new state-of-the-art online roaming business management tool, which is due to be launched later this year. ’My Visuals’ dashboards and the ‘MACH Unity’ portal form part of MACH’s M Vision portfolio combining a powerful business intelligence platform together with comprehensive online wholesale partner management capabilities.
