Digital Agriculture opportunities in Indonesia: A discussion with PT Koltiva

This is the fourth blog in a series of blogs introducing the grantees and key partners supported by the GSMA Innovation Fund for Digitisation of Agricultural Value Chains.

Agriculture contributes 13.7% to the Indonesian GDP while providing employment to over 26% of the workforce.

PT Koltiva is an integrated technology company providing tailor-made software solutions and services for end-to-end business processes. Established 2013 in Indonesia, and incorporated 2017 in Switzerland, Koltiva works towards the establishment of fair and sustainable supply chains through technological innovation. The company does this through a suite of mobile applications and a SaaS model used by suppliers, producers and smallholder farmers in 26 countries.

GSMA is supporting Koltiva in diversifying and scaling its service offering with a particular focus on enhancing livelihoods, financial inclusion and climate resilience of smallholder farmers. In this vlog, we speak to Koltiva MD Manfred Borer and Product Manager Rio Radityo about their service, future plans and challenges as they look to deliver on our shared objectives.

THIS INITIATIVE IS CURRENTLY FUNDED BY THE UK FOREIGN, COMMONWEALTH & DEVELOPMENT OFFICE (FCDO), AND SUPPORTED BY THE GSMA AND ITS MEMBERS.
