Following the GSMA’s launch of Mobile Economy India 2013 the day prior, this event will explore commercially sustainable ways for mobile operators, value-added service providers, development partners and governments to realise the socio-economic benefits of mobile for India. In addition to announcing specific funding and partnership opportunities with the GSMA on projects, the event will feature existing examples of how mobile services are improving the lives of India’s smallholder farmers, as well as how serving women with economically sustainable mobile tools can improve access to finance, health and other social outcomes.
