Today we launched a new feature on the blog – the mobile money video directory. Click on the ‘Videos’ link at left to check it out. There are already more than 50 videos in the directory, and this number will continue to grow.

Videos in this directory fall into one of three categories:

1. Marketing best practices to help mobile operators understand the launch approaches that have been used in other markets. Included in this category are videos from Safaricom, Telenor and SMART which offer insights into their launch approaches.

2. Tactical videos which detail how mobile money services work and share lessons learned from experimentation. A series of videos created by MABS on G-Cash, as well as videos from mChek exploring the application of mobile money in microfinance is already available.

3. Interviews with industry leaders. Within this category we’ve got interviews with Richard Mwami (MTN Uganda), Hannes van Rensberg (Fundamo), and Michael Joseph (Safaricom).
