How MoMo Pay Empowers Female Merchants and Customers in Ghana

In Ghana there is a gender gap in mobile money adoption and use which means that fewer women than men benefit from this potentially life-enhancing service. In order to help close this gender gap, MTN Ghana, one of the major mobile operators in the country, are recruiting female market sellers, to accept payments for their goods and services via MTN MoMo. They call these merchants ‘MoMo Pay Merchants’.
