On Thursday 17 June, the GSMA Connected Women team launched the Mobile Gender Gap Report 2021. At the virtual launch event, Mats Granryd of the GSMA spoke with Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka from UN Women about the importance of enabling women to access mobiles and mobile internet, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic; her reaction to the latest statistics and findings; and what we should be doing as a community to accelerate the closing of the mobile gender gap.
