On Wednesday 3rd of November, the GSMA Mobile Money held a session discussing The Pivotal role of Mobile Money: Driving inclusion and resilience at Financial Inclusion Week – the annual gathering of the global financial inclusion community.

The session focused on the state of the mobile money industry in Africa, drawing on data from the GSMA State of the Industry Report. It further explored how partnerships between providers and fintechs can drive financial inclusion and improve resilience to shocks like climate change and COVID-19 and explore the role of governments in encouraging enabling environments.
