Sehat Kahani: Improving women’s healthcare experience in Pakistan image

Sehat Kahani (‘Story of Health’) is a digital health start-up in Pakistan that is democratising healthcare by connecting home-based female doctors with communities where access to quality healthcare is limited.

We spoke to users and non-users of Sehat Kahani to understand the experience of healthcare for women in Sindh province, Pakistan, and found that these were defined by previous, often negative, encounters with the healthcare system. Sehat Kahani clinics are doing a great deal to counter these experiences, and patients’ perceptions of healthcare are beginning to change.
