Mobile money is a rapidly growing sector of the financial services industry across developing markets, reaching many people who do not have access to other financial services. Enabling the mobile money ecosystem through open APIs enables a wide range of products and services to be expanded to the over one billion people who use mobile money, increasing financial inclusion of underserved populations. Thsi report examines the ways in which the Mobile Money API contributes towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
