12 new start-ups selected for funding

Congratulations to the 12 start-ups from Africa and Asia that have been awarded funding..

We have closed call for applications for ‘The GSMA Innovation Fund for Climate Resilience and Adaptation 2.0’. Thank you to everyone who had applied.

This funding round builds on the previous GSMA Innovation Fund for Climate Resilience and Adaptation launched at COP26. The GSMA invited applications from start-ups, small and medium enterprises and social enterprises leveraging digital technology to deliver climate resilience and adaptation solutions to and with low-income and vulnerable populations. Geographies of interest include Africa, South and Southeast Asia, Pacific Islands, the Caribbean, Bolivia, Colombia and Guatemala, Albania and Moldova.

Successful projects are to receive grant funding of between GBP 100,000 and GBP 250,000 over 15 to 18 months, plus tailored technical assistance including:

About the previous Climate Fund round (2021-2022)

12 successful start-ups from 10 countries were selected for our first round of The GSMA Innovation Fund for Climate Resilience and Adaptation. They will receive an equity-free grant of between £100,000 and £250,000 to pilot and scale their innovation with technical support from the GSMA.
