Coding brings a fun introduction to technology for children across Morocco

Orange Morocco has partnered with the Ministry of Education to run #SuperCoders. The programme, which teaches coding to children in the most remote primary schools of Morocco, is supported by the Happy Coders Academy and volunteer coaches from Orange.

#SuperCoders aims to give children a playful, fun and educational insight into the opportunities of the digital world. Designing games and animations helps to build technical, creative and teamwork skills and the young coders are invited to take part in regional coding challenges in support of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

In 2018, #SuperCoders reached 4,000 children in 180 primary schools in 12 regions of Morocco. This year, the programme is being extended to more schools across the country and includes learning about robotics. #SuperCoders is a worldwide initiative for Orange and a recipient of a European Digital Skills Award.
