Knowledge is power: How a mobile education platform inspires millions across Latin America
For many young people in Latin America, mobile technology can change their lives by giving them access to educational tools. América Móvil, in collaboration with the Carlos Slim Foundation, are working together to help provide quality education to millions of students.
As part of the Aprende.org platform, the Carlos Slim Foundation has developed a free education space called PruébaT, which is available on mobile devices. It aims to strengthen the knowledge and cognitive skills of 12 to 22-year-olds by providing a gamified environment that makes learning fun and rewards students efforts.
PruébaT has collaboration agreements in place with various ministries of education and its content can be used to familiarise students and teachers with national assessments. More than four million young people, parents and teachers have used PruébaT to date and it is particularly popular in Mexico, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
