Taking a responsible approach to proposition development in Japan

Children have rights when it comes to the development of products and services and the way they are advertised and marketed. Since 2006, NTT DOCOMO has carried out various initiatives led by employees who are qualified as Advisory Specialists for Consumer Affairs.

The Advisory Specialists for Consumer Affairs participate in NTT DOCOMO’s mobile phone trials prior to launch and provide feedback from the consumer’s perspective, such as avoiding anything that could potentially harm children. They also review advertisements and marketing materials before they are released and ensure that consumer suggestions and opinions are provided to corporate management.

By serving as a bridge between consumers and the company, NTT DOCOMO’s Advisory Specialists for Consumer Affairs contribute to society in a range of areas, including child protection.
