Technology that transforms lives in Colombia

Claro is committed to the social and digital transformation of Colombia and, through its sustainability programme Claro por Colombia, it promotes technology-based solutions for closing the gaps that vulnerable groups experience. Using the power of technology, Claro has developed a number of initiatives in areas such as education, sport, art and culture, social inclusion and volunteering.

In education, it has partnered with the Carlos Slim Foundation to develop free digital platforms that allow Colombians to strengthen their skills and knowledge. PruébaT  provides educational resources in areas such as mathematics, languages and science and Capacitate para el Empleo has over 260 courses covering a range of sectors and includes guidance on training and how to set up your own business. Today, PruébaT has 645,319 registered users and Capacítate para el Empleo has more than 304,870 registered users. Colombia is the second country after Mexico in the use of platforms in the region.

In sport, art and culture, Claro por Colombia in association with Fútbol con Corazón organised the Copa Claro por Colombia. More than 1,600 children aged 5 to 16 from more than 30 vulnerable communities will take part in the football tournament.

Claro por Colombia is especially committed to promoting initiatives that guarantee the well-being and improve the quality of life for children and adolescents, as well as promoting the responsible use of technology and the Internet for the protection of children and young people.
