Impact of mobile technology

Millions of children around the world access the internet from a mobile device. In relation to the right to access appropriate and diverse information, mobile operators can support children by helping to bridge the usage gap for mobile services in remote and other underserved communities.

By doing this, children can access rich sources of information on a range of topics, including education, health and well-being, gender equality and cultural diversity. Furthermore, mobile operators can work with expert partners to develop materials about the digital world for children, parents, caregivers and teachers.
