The mobile industry’s longest established awards will be held once again at the GSMA Mobile World Congress taking place 22-25 February in Barcelona. The Glomos recognise everything from game-changing mobile devices, technologies, apps and services, showcasing the growing value that mobile brings to all industries.

There are 8 main categories for the awards this year:

  1. The Connected Life Awards
  2. Best Mobile Services
  3. Social & Economic Development
  4. Apps of the Year
  5. Best Mobile Handsets & Devices
  6. Best Mobile Technology
  7. Government Excellence Awards
  8. Outstanding Achievement

Within these categories, there are a total of 38 awards that entrants can apply for. New awards this year include “Best Mobile Innovation for Travel, Leisure and Hospitality”, which showcases the way mobile technology is changing how we book and enjoy these experiences and “Best Mobile App for Social and Lifestyle”, which looks at how users consume and share media-rich content through intuitive apps.
