The Glomos recognise everything from game-changing mobile devices,  technologies, apps and services, showcasing the growing value that mobile  brings to all industries.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">There are 8 main categories for the awards this year:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Connected Life Awards<\/li>\n<li>Best Mobile Services<\/li>\n<li>Social &amp; Economic Development<\/li>\n<li>Apps of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Best Mobile Handsets &amp; Devices<\/li>\n<li>Best Mobile Technology<\/li>\n<li>Government Excellence Awards<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding Achievement<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\">Within these categories, there are a total of 38 awards that  entrants can apply for. New awards this year include &ldquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalmobileawards.com\/categories2016\/category-1-the-connected-life-awards\/1f-best-use-of-mobile-for-travel-leisure-hospitality\/\" target=\"_blank\">Best  Mobile Innovation for Travel, Leisure and Hospitality<\/a>&rdquo;, which showcases the  way mobile technology is changing how we book and enjoy these experiences and &ldquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalmobileawards.com\/categories2016\/category-4-best-mobile-apps\/4d-best-mobile-app-for-social-and-lifestyle\/\" target=\"_blank\">Best  Mobile App for Social and Lifestyle<\/a>&rdquo;, which looks at how users consume and  share media-rich content through intuitive apps.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">  If you&rsquo;ve developed a mobile product or service or you&rsquo;d like  to nominate a candidate for the Glomos, then take a look at the categories and  apply via the website: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalmobileawards.com\/categories2016\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.globalmobileawards.com\/categories2016\/<\/a> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> The judging panel is comprised of a large selection of independent  experts, analysts, journalists, academics and, in some cases, mobile operator  representatives.
