Mobile connectivity is creating a better future, and Industry City highlights how the FinTech, manufacturing and, smart mobility industries are creating a seamless connection between the digital and real worlds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are on a journey to digital everything, and it will take boundary-pushing experts from all sectors, not just telecoms, to help us get there. 5G technology enables leaps in efficiency for industry, and we look forward to bringing together leaders from automotive, manufacturing, fintech, and mobility to share their insight,\u201d said Alex Sinclair, Chief Technology Officer, GSMA. \u201cIndustry City is the most comprehensive showcase of customer markets at MWC Barcelona ever, spanning smart manufacturing, to AI automated drones, to demonstrate the benefits of mobile connectivity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Co-delivered with Knowledge Partner,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.accenture.com\/gb-en\">Accenture<\/a>, and with support from Smart Mobility Industry sponsor,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vinfastauto.us\/\">Vinfast<\/a>, and FinTech Industry sponsor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citigroup.com\/citi\/\">Citigroup<\/a>, the Industry City will host a series of talks by vertical experts, including the Security Summit on 1st March delivered with sponsors\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.paloaltonetworks.com\/\">Palo Alto Networks<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kaspersky.co.uk\/\">Kaspersky<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Accenture will showcase interactive demonstrations focused on virtual metaverse tours and new paths to growth for communication service providers (CSPs).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCollaboration across industries is critical to the success of the mobile ecosystem. Accenture is excited to be a part of the launch of Industry City at MWC22 Barcelona. It creates a unique forum for CSPs and partners to come together on ideas and solutions enabling a new wave of connected industry,\u201d said Andrew Walker, Accenture\u2019s Global Communications and Media industry lead.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GSMA Foundry at MWC22 Barcelona\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Visitors to Industry City will also have the opportunity to explore the GSMA Foundry Forge, the go-to place for cross-industry collaboration and making positive change happen. Here they can learn about the latest GSMA Foundry projects and experience live demos, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Always On Network Service (AONS)<\/strong>project, in partnership with Jazz and Ufone 4G, which involves the development of advanced operator capabilities in Pakistan, designed to provide a high level of network resilience and security for critical 24\/7 services such as banking, mobile payment services, and emergency services.<\/li>\n<li>Pre-commercial trialsof\u00a0<strong>Telco Edge Cloud<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(TEC)<\/strong>\u00a0projects to accelerate and scale the market for innovative 5G edge solutions. The trials demonstrate the ability to run advanced, edge-enabled services across multiple networks and geographies.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>5G Autonomous Drones Project\u00a0<\/strong>powered by the GSMA Foundry, Telef\u00f3nica, and Unmanned Life will involve a drone flight and autonomous take-off and landing powered by AI. The result will be live-streamed over a 5G network for attendees to watch.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>GSMA 5G Transformation Hub<\/strong> features a digital portal to showcase the world\u2019s most innovative 5G solutions and demonstrate how the technology will deliver value for a wide range of industries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Visit Industry City\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Located in Hall 4, Industry City will be open during MWC22 Barcelona exhibition hours from Monday 28th February to Thursday 3rd March.
