CircuitX is the groundbreaking three-year initiative designed to champion mobile technology across motorsports and transform the circuit experience with connectivity. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CircuitX will feature leading partners showcasing advanced technology and connectivity solutions, including Al Kamel supported by Semtech &amp; Domo Broadcast Systems, Barcelona Drone Center, Elmo, Ericsson, Formula E, Into Reality, MatSing, NTT DATA, Prospeed and Telef\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CircuitX was launched last year during <a href=\"http:\/\/mwcbarcelona.com\/articles\/gsma-fira-circuit-and-mobile-world-capital-announce-partnership-for-new-technology-showcase-at-circuit-de-barcelona-catalunya\">MWC25 Barcelona<\/a> by the GSMA\u2019s innovation hub, GSMA Foundry; Fira Circuit, an entity managed by Fira de Barcelona and the public-private foundation Mobile World Capital that promotes the digital development of society. The initiative aims to turn the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya into a centre for innovation and next-generation motorsport experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The showcase demonstrations at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and MWC26 Barcelona will feature participation from leading motor racing teams and technology collaborators to showcase teledriven vehicles, in-race telemetry, live broadcast, drone safety and security measures, as well as immersive augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences for fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable all of the demonstrations at both the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and MWC26 Barcelona, Telef\u00f3nica has joined the initiative as the official connectivity partner, providing 5G network coverage at both locations. The CircuitX partners and demos are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/alkamelsystems.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Al Kamel<\/strong><\/a> will show how ultra-low latency networks transform race operations, from instant incident detection and dynamic race strategies \u2013 providing a glimpse into the future of precision motorsport management supported by Semtech &amp; Domo Broadcast Systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barcelonadronecenter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Barcelona Drone Center<\/strong><\/a> will showcase drones for crowd monitoring, emergency response and perimeter security, leveraging advanced Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) technology and regulatory expertise \u2013 critical for modern smart venues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elmoremote.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Elmo<\/strong><\/a> will demonstrate real-time teledriving of vehicles over public 5G networks, including stable remote operation at higher driving speeds, enabled by network quality APIs that ensure low latency, reliability and service continuity for safety-critical vehicle control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericsson.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Ericsson<\/strong><\/a> brings its private 5G expertise&nbsp;to&nbsp;deliver&nbsp;a secure, high-performance network&nbsp;tailored&nbsp;to&nbsp;the device mobility&nbsp;demands of&nbsp;motorsport environments \u2013 essential for telemetry, video streaming and safety-critical systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/fiaformulae.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Formula E<\/strong><\/a> will showcase sustainability-driven racing innovations, integrating connectivity for enhanced telemetry and fan engagement. The Gen3 EVO Formula E race car demonstrates its capabilities on the track, able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.82 seconds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intoreality.tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Into Reality<\/strong><\/a> will develop interactive AR\/VR environments that enable fans to participate in virtual race experiences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.matsing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MatSing<\/strong><\/a>, a pioneer of RF lens antenna technology, will demonstrate its patented solution that is trusted by the world\u2019s largest venues and events to deliver high-capacity, high-performance wireless coverage that enhances fan experiences, supports real-time communications and ensures reliable connectivity across every corner of the venue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nttdata.com\/global\/en\/\">NTT DATA<\/a><\/strong> will show AI enabled applications, including solutions that enhance operations and safety, as well as mobile applications that leverage live data and AI-driven insights to deliver a digital-first fan experience both on-site and off-site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prospeed.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Prospeed<\/strong><\/a> will demonstrate video streaming and a marshaling system, including telemetry data transmission, from a Porsche Cup safety car used in the <a href=\"https:\/\/racing.porsche.com\/series\/Porsche-One-Make-Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Porsche One-Make Series<\/a> running at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.telefonica.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Telef\u00f3nica<\/strong><\/a> will provide the 5G connectivity backbone enabling all of the demos to run across the CircuitX and MWC showcase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>CircuitX moves from track to theatre to feature at MWC26 Barcelona (2\u20135 March) at the CircuitX Demo Zone in Hall 6, where attendees can explore interactive demo pods, live sessions on the New Frontiers stage from our partners and have a look around a Formula E Gen3 Evo, the net-zero carbon electric race car known for extreme efficiency and performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>John Hoffman, CEO, GSMA Ltd.<\/strong>, said: <em>\u201cCircuitX is more than a showcase; it\u2019s a blueprint for the future of connected experiences.
