{"id":704,"date":"2008-03-27T17:13:46","date_gmt":"2008-03-27T17:13:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gsmassociation.co.uk\/newsroom\/?p=704"},"modified":"2012-05-14T16:16:50","modified_gmt":"2012-05-14T16:16:50","slug":"the-world-of-mobile-innovation-is-heading-to-atlanta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/newsroom\/press-release\/the-world-of-mobile-innovation-is-heading-to-atlanta\/","title":{"rendered":"The World of Mobile Innovation is Heading to Atlanta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>GSMA to showcase the best in mobile innovation at the Mobile Innovation Marketplace &#8211; Americas in Atlanta in June 2008<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>The GSM Association (GSMA), the global trade association for the mobile industry and the organisation responsible for the Mobile World Congress, the largest, most significant and most successful global mobile event in the world, will showcase the best in mobile innovation at its Mobile Innovation Marketplace &#8211; Americas being held in Atlanta, Georgia between 3-4 June 2008.<\/p>\n<p>The Mobile Innovation Marketplace will bring together global thought leaders from the mobile industry\u2019s top innovators, investors, operators and key suppliers from all over the world, as well as showcase the best new innovators who will compete for a place on the global stage at the 2009 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.<\/p>\n<p>During the Mobile Innovation Marketplace &#8211; Americas, 15 pre-selected new technology concepts from around the world from five different innovation categories will be reviewed by senior executives from mobile operators and venture capitalists. One winner will be named from each category and awarded the title of \u2018GSMA Global Semi-Finalist\u2019.
