The GSMA convened the mobile industry and its wider ecosystem at MWC Los Angeles from October 22-24, 2019. The event’s focus on quality in content, sectors and attendees drives our purposes to bring together the right people to conduct the right business which propels the industry forward.
A total 68 percent of this year’s attendees held senior level positions, including more than 2,000 CEOs, and women comprised 22% of delegates and 32% of keynote speakers. More than 260 international media and industry analysts attended to report on the many activities taking place at the show.
Under the theme of Intelligent Connectivity, MWC Los Angeles showcased how the
combination of 5G, AI, Big Data and IoT will positively impact industries and improve the way we live. Over 300 speakers featured the many sectors benefiting from 5G including automotive, media and entertainment, finance and security, among others.
MWC Los Angeles again hosted the 4YFN Startup Event, which brought together over 300 organizations to connect and launch new ventures together. The Women4Tech program also returned to Los Angeles to champion diversity in the mobile industry. Finally, over 14,000 students attended the Youth Mobile Festival (YoMo) which provides hands-on learning experiences to encourage careers in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and design, and math) fields.
