5G Caribbean Virtual Summit – Day 2

5G Caribbean Virtual Summit – Day 2

Start: Thursday 1 July 2021 10:00

End: Thursday 1 July 2021 15:30

Venue: Virtual Meeting

The mobile communication networks are going through a major facelift along with the new 5G and its virtualized network architecture model. Nevertheless, previous network generations like 4G will work in a parallel offering services such as voice, messaging, and data for years to come. The Caribbean, as many other regions, will address this reality as part of the environment and conditions all industries needs to take into consideration for the 5G evolution.

“5G will be transformative and will touch every aspect of our lives, including critical infrastructure such as transportation, electrical distribution, and telemedicine. However, many mobile network operators face limited options when selecting vendors to deploy 5G and earlier generation wireless networks.”, Jaisha Wray, Associate Administrator for International Affairs, U.S. NTIA.  Listen to her as she discusses activities at NTIA and across the U.S. federal government regarding vendor diversity.

During this 5G Caribbean Virtual Summit conference, GSMA, 5G Americas and CANTO put together an agenda where key industry representatives will share their vision and insights on the telecom ecosystem and how it impacts the Caribbean region.
