Since the launch of the first mobile telecommunication network in Jordan in 1995, the market has grown rapidly. Today 70% of the population in Jordan has at least one mobile subscription and over 2 million people have access to the mobile internet. This increase in mobile connectivity, particularly mobile broadband, is bringing wide-ranging benefits to the Jordanian economy and society by boosting productivity, national competitiveness, and increased economic growth.
