The Mobile Gender Gap Report 2025 Launch

The Mobile Gender Gap Report 2025 Launch

Start: Wednesday 14 May 2025 13:00

End: Wednesday 14 May 2025 14:00

Join us for the launch of the Mobile Gender Gap Report 2025, the latest edition of the GSMA Connected Women programme’s flagship annual report. This report provides a detailed analysis of the gender gap in mobile ownership and mobile internet use across low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). It highlights key trends, the barriers women face and opportunities to further drive women’s digital and financial inclusion.

In this session, Nadia Jeffrie, lead author of the report, will present the latest findings on the mobile gender gap. You’ll also hear from the Secretary General of the ITU, the CEO Axian Telecom and the CEO of Jazz Pakistan, who will share their reactions to the report’s findings and discuss concrete actions to accelerate digital and financial inclusion for women.

The GSMA’s latest data shows that progress in closing the gender gap in mobile internet adoption in LMICs has stalled. Women in these regions are now 14% less likely than men to use mobile internet, underscoring the urgent need for targeted action.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights and practical recommendations to help bridge the mobile gender gap and ensure that everyone can benefit from the power of connectivity.

The Mobile Gender Gap Report 2024 will be published on Wednesday 14 May here.
