Mobile\noperators can support this right by helping to build resilient communities and\nbusinesses in regions prone to crises, such as climate-related disasters, and\noffering support for emergency response and recovery. This can involve working\nwith humanitarian organisations and governments who have a shared long-term\nvision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Developing and maintaining a robust mobile telecommunications infrastructure, which can withstand extreme conditions and increased volumes of traffic, is the first step. This is vital in the aftermath of a crisis, enabling emergency services and humanitarian workers to communicate and citizens to make emergency calls or mark themselves as safe.
