Mobile networks have a role to play in protecting public safety, such as when law enforcement agencies use their mandate to conduct criminal investigations with call data and interception of communications, support major incident communications, or track the spread of threats to health such as the use of location data to monitor and prevent outbreaks and the spread of Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Digital services, underpinned by fast, high-performance networks, play an increasingly vital role in the way people live and businesses operate. Protection against threats to mobile networks and devices is, therefore, absolutely crucial.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The full report takes each of the major issues of consumer protection, privacy, public safety and infrastructure security in turn. It highlights the potential issues, what is already being done to address them and what further actions may be needed.<\/li>\n<li>The executive summary has been pulled out to provide a high-level overview of the issues.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">The Securing the Mobile Ecosystem chapter has been pulled out as it highlights a number of factors that can affect the security and integrity of the mobile ecosystem, with considerations for business practice and regulation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can download all three documents below.<\/p>\n<p>October is cybersecurity month and throughout this month we will releasing a series of blogs touching on different elements of safety and security across the mobile ecosystem.
