And in addition to the rise in cybercrime, criminals are becoming increasingly inventive in bypassing barriers and stealing data.&nbsp;Recent research by the Global Anti-Scam Alliance shows that last year one in seven Dutch citizens&nbsp;fell victim to fraud. At a collective cost of \u20ac1.75 billion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the launch of&nbsp;<strong>CAMARA-based API security services<\/strong>, KPN,&nbsp;Odido, and Vodafone are taking an important step towards a standardized and trusted digital ecosystem, one built on collaboration and innovation to combat the growing challenge of digital fraud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Innovative solutions, such as&nbsp;\u2018Number&nbsp;Verification\u2019&nbsp;and&nbsp;\u2018KYC&nbsp;Match\u2019, make it possible to securely, quickly and easily verify users&#8217; identities when logging in,&nbsp;or carrying out transactions via mobile devices.&nbsp;These&nbsp;services&nbsp;protect&nbsp;customers&nbsp;and help&nbsp;banks, e-commerce platforms&nbsp;and other digital service providers to combat fraud more&nbsp;efficiently and&nbsp;effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These services are delivered through an expanding network of partners, offering&nbsp;<strong>API developers<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>CPaaS specialists<\/strong>&nbsp;flexible options for seamless integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to&nbsp;Henry Calvert, Head of Networks at global mobile industry association, the GSMA: \u201cDigital scams and fraudulent attacks are a&nbsp;growing problem that,&nbsp;if left unchecked,&nbsp;can&nbsp;cause further harm to&nbsp;mobile users and erode their trust in digital commerce.&nbsp;This&nbsp;is an important&nbsp;collaborative&nbsp;initiative by the Dutch telecoms industry, banks and online retailers,&nbsp;using&nbsp;the intelligence of mobile networks to&nbsp;help reduce&nbsp;cyber-crime.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAMARA<\/strong>&nbsp;is an open-source, global initiative, powered by the Linux Foundation and GSMA, that standardizes telecom network APIs.&nbsp;Through&nbsp;the Open Gateway initiative, the&nbsp;<strong>GSMA<\/strong>&nbsp;offers a scalable and innovative platform for API developers and&nbsp;CPaaS&nbsp;providers worldwide. This enables companies to easily adopt a uniform approach to API security and functionality, both locally and internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The global&nbsp;<strong>GSMA<\/strong>&nbsp;Open Gateway&nbsp;initiative&nbsp;now unites more than&nbsp;80&nbsp;mobile operator groups, representing 292 mobile networks&nbsp;and&nbsp;over&nbsp;80% of all mobile connections worldwide.
