GSMA Joint Community Forum

In this joint forum session, we will bring together members of the GSMA APAC 5G Industry & IoT community, and the GSMA Manufacturing and Production community, to discuss the role of mobile technology in the Connected Industries across APAC and Europe.

5G technology deployment, a strategic move expected to revolutionize connectivity and spearhead economic resilience and growth. According to the GSMA’s Mobile Economy report, 5G is expected to add almost $130 billion to the Asia Pacific economy and €153 billion in Europe economy in 2030.

In the eight case studies recently published by the GSMA APAC 5G Industry Community, which showcase the versatility and impact of 5G technologies in the Asia Pacific region, we can see that 5G is more than just an upgrade; it is a crucial enabler of the next digital era. It enhances a wide range of sectors, from emergency services and maritime operations in Hong Kong to advanced manufacturing in Thailand and Malaysia, as well as logistics in Indonesia and healthcare in Singapore. With investments increasing to support a comprehensive 5G rollout, the potential for significant economic impact is becoming increasingly attainable.
