Connected Manufacturing and Production Quarterly Forum Meeting – Q3 2024
We are excited to announce that our next forum meeting will be held in-person in London, UK on the 16th – 17th September.
Come and meet like-minded individuals and network with industry leaders from across the Manufacturing and Production sector, whilst hearing from our members on the latest topics and trends from across the industry.
On Day 1, we are delighted to welcome fantastic participants to the forum, who will be speaking on a range of topics and on Day 2, we’re excited to be hosted by Verizon at the 5G Verizon hub, in Holborn. Discover more details below:
Day 1 Overview:
- Paul Bradley will share how Kigen is addressing In-factory Profile Provisioning (IFPP), supporting faster production for IoT device makers
- Shamik Mishra from Capgemini will introduce the opensource MARGO initiative, a new consortium looking to solve operational technology (OT) interoperability challenges.
- Weimin Liu, Verizon and Vijay Tailor, GSMA, will provide the latest progress on the Network APIs for Manufacturing paper – a Connected Manufacturing and production community activity designed to provide manufacturers easy access to network provider services.
- Michael Larner will join us to share the latest ABI Research that engaged 450 manufacturers globally to understand the current challenges, technology plans (including the current and future role of AI), barriers to digital transformation, what manufacturers look for from technology suppliers and more.
- Drew McFarlane will also be introducing GSMA Advance, the learning division of the association for the worlds mobile industry, providing training courses developed by GSMA subject-matter experts for our members and the wider ecosystem.
- Paul Bloudoff will be joining us from NTT Data, to share insights on the manufacturing sector requirements that led to the development of their new Edge AI product.
- Dr Aparajithan Sivanathan, Head of Digital Technologies, from the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMCR) will talk about his experience of the intersection between AI and Manufacturing.

Day 1 Evening:
For those attending in person, please join us for a networking dinner with a spectacular view over the River Thames. Details will be provided on confirmation of attendance.
Day 2 Overview:
The 5G Verizon hub is a fabulous interactive space with demonstrations and simulations of technologies such as augmented reality, IoT and IIoT, Robotics and automation, Asset Tracking, 3D twins. We’re excited to explore everything the Hub has to offer with this interactive experience.
