China Telecom’s Jincai Yang began the summit by discussing connected vehicles network 4.0 and intelligent vehicle development; Yongde Wang of Huawei then discussed the applications and opportunities of intelligent vehicles, as well as how 5G can help the industry grow; and Jianxiong Xiao of AutoX, a global leader in L4 RoboCar, then provided an in-depth look at automotive 3.0 and how it accelerates driverless car technology. Finally, Jinhang Gao of Jinqiao talked about intelligent vehicle applications in the Pudong area, which support the industry in full swing. Huawei, ASTRI, and Hozon New Energy Automotive representatives then joined the panel to examine the region’s progress in autonomy, connectivity, electrification, and sustainability.
The next session looked at how the mid-low altitude economy would transform transportation, logistics, manufacturing, and aviation operations. China Mobile’s Yu Su was the first to discuss the important breakthroughs, capabilities, and practical uses of enhanced drone communication enabled by 5G-A. Kellen Xie of AutoFlight then proceeded to discuss eVTOL developments and flying taxi applications in the Greater Bay Area. The panel continued by discussing the vision for the low-altitude economy, why it is vital to the general population, and how mobile networks may foster sustainable development.
