Definition – GSO: Geosynchronous Orbit Satellite, NGSO: Non-Geosynchronous Orbit Satellite

Effective from 8 July 2024, you will be able to confirm whether the selected Equipment can connect via NTN, in the Device Details page of the TAC Application Form.

For the NTN Connectivity question, you will have three options:

‘3GPP NTN Only’, ‘3GPP NTN & TN’ and ‘No’. If the device connects via NTN, you should choose either ‘3GPP NTN Only’ or ‘3GPP NTN & TN’. Further to that, you should select the Satellite Orbits, GSO or NGSO or both.

Please ensure to select NTN Frequency Bands in the Band Profile which will be mapped for the device that connects via NTN. The Reporting Body will not approve the TAC Application that has Satellite Orbits selected without NTN Frequency Bands or vice versa.

Effective from 8 July 2024, 5G REDCAP bands will be available for selection in the Band Profile template and in the online Band Profile creation form.

Please note, if any bands in the 5G REDCAP band category is selected, you will not be able to choose any other 5G bands (5G NR & 5G DC).

Band profiles uploaded with 5G Redcap bands along with other 5G bands will be rejected by the system.

Click Here for the new version of the Band Profile template which should be used for upload, effective from 8 July 2024. Profiles uploaded using the previous version templates will not be processed by the system.

Effective from 8 July 2024, the system will not allow you to modify any device information of the TACs that are less than or equal to 12 months since allocated via the Edit TAC Application Form.
