{"id":12799,"date":"2018-08-03T08:29:29","date_gmt":"2018-08-03T07:29:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/solutions-and-impact\/technologies\/esim\/?post_type=post&#038;p=12799"},"modified":"2025-12-11T15:22:33","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T15:22:33","slug":"esim-compliance-and-industry-certifications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/solutions-and-impact\/technologies\/esim\/esim-compliance-and-industry-certifications\/","title":{"rendered":"eSIM Compliance and Industry Certifications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the publication of SGP.24 version 2.0, GSMA has moved its eSIM compliance requirements into the industry certification domain.<\/p>\n<p>Starting from<strong> 1<sup>st<\/sup> May<\/strong> <strong>2018<\/strong>, GSMA now references the certification programmes of GlobalPlatform, Global Certification Forum (GCF) and PTCRB for eSIM functional testing.<\/p>\n<p>These expert certification bodies have verified and validated GSMA\u2019s SGP.23 functional tests on commercial test platforms, using their own expert processes.\u00a0 GlobalPlatform, GCF and PTCRB now provide independent functional test &amp; certification mechanisms for eSIM; accessible to all eSIM product vendors and recognised as evidence of eSIM functional compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Successful functional test is just one of the important compliance expectations for eSIM products.
