In April 2012, GSMA provided a response to the European Commission\u2019s public consultation on Spectrum for more efficient energy production and distribution. Download the summary of the consultation here<\/a>:<\/p>\n

And the individual responses are posted here<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Following the analysis of all the responses, the EC\u2019s Spectrum unit decided that it will not be proceeding with a dedicated initiative at this time, as most respondents did not support the need for dedicated spectrum. However, the EC will continue to look at this issue closely under the Radio Spectrum Policy Programme (RSPP), and smart grids \/ energy efficiency will be one of the priorities under the spectrum inventory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
