Messaging platforms are now bigger than most social networks and this trend looks set to continue in 2017 with chatbots playing a prominent role.<\/p>\n

The GSMA\u2019s Future Networks programme is working closely with operators, OEMs and operating system providers on the roll-out of RCS, built on one specification, the GSMA\u2019s Universal Profile.<\/p>\n

Operators globally are upgrading SMS to RCS, providing 6.7 billion subscribers with an
\nengaging and modern messaging experience that works simply and consistently across
\nnetworks and devices without the need to download multiple apps.<\/p>\n

This seminar, held at MWC Barcelona 2017, explored messaging as a platform and the future of chatbots and conversational commerce.<\/p>\n
