KT will contribute to establishing a standardised system, while Samsung will provide its end-to-end private 5G network kit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5G private networks are increasingly being used for military applications, with the US one of the leaders in this area. At MWC Las Vegas 2024, the US Department of Defense laid out its vision for integrating 5G in the military, including its use in expeditionary, tactical environments and across global transport operations. 5G\u2019s strong credentials for use in industry verticals requiring high security and connectivity performance are also reflected in Ice Norway\u2019s recent use of its 5G SA network in collaboration with Mavenir to provide a dedicated network slice for communications for the Norwegian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The South Korean Navy has selected KT and Samsung Electronics to deploy a private 5G network for its Smart Naval Port project, providing seamless coverage and enhanced connectivity.
