The three-day event hosted many of the continent\u2019s industry leaders in a variety of seminars, panel discussions, keynote speeches and interactive demonstrations.<\/p>\n<p>The event was opened by a keynote from Mats Granyrd, Director General, GSMA:<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/solutions-and-impact\/technologies\/networks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/20160920_093013.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8553\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/solutions-and-impact\/technologies\/networks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/20160920_093013.jpg\" alt=\"20160920_093013\" width=\"650\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/solutions-and-impact\/technologies\/networks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/20160920_093013.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/solutions-and-impact\/technologies\/networks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/20160920_093013-500x154.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a>GSMA Mobile contributes 5% of regions GDP<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mobile Messaging and RCS &#8211;\u00a0Network 2020 Showcase the Universal Profile \u000b<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first day continued with discussions on the advancement of mobile technology and featured Google, Am\u00e9rica M\u00f3vil, Syniverse and Delta Partners, who discussed the latest developments in adoption across Latin America. Google:\u00a0will introduce Plug-ins, Bots &amp; Video to Messaging<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On the second day, GSMA\u2019s Network 2020 programme hosted a keynote session on Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) and the road to 5G. The keynote featured discussions between speakers from Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei, Qualcomm Technologies Inc., and the GSMA Technical and Terminals group.<\/p>\n<p>The final day featured Network 2020\u2019s All-IP technology seminar.
