The Verizon briefings could prove the best source of inside stories on the latest developments within the Verizon 5G Technology Forum.<\/p>\n<p>Adam Koeppe, VP of Technology Planning for Verizon, has news on the advances into the three major realms of 5G that Verizon and its technology partners are pioneering, namely wireless home broadband, virtual and augmented reality and the Internet of Things. Since the Verizon 5G Technology Forum includes all the most influential chip set, device, and network equipment makers in the industry, including Apple, Cisco, Ericsson, Intel, LG, Nokia, Samsung and Qualcomm Technologies, Verizon\u2019s lead could indicate where the industry is headed.<\/p>\n<p>The 5G Journey is one of the key streams of the GSMA Network 2020 programme, and Verizon is a great example to other network operators, who will receive valuable hints on how they could be developing their next generation technologies and services. This year, Verizon will also be showcasing products and solutions that are disrupting the tech industry with a specific focus on platforms, content, and advertising built for carriers that will shape the future on a global scale.<\/p>\n<p>Koeppe is sharing expertise on developments in the US, where it is creating hundreds of locations in multiple cities for broadcasting fixed wireless broadband to the home using the 28 GHz spectrum. Verizon will also reveal its experience of virtual reality and augmented reality and how it can improve\u00a0 with high bandwidth and low latency that comes with 5G.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVirtual and augmented reality is a great emerging use case for wireless technical evolution.\u00a0 It\u2019s an exciting field, and leveraging the capabilities of 5G networks can bring it to a higher level,\u201d says Koeppe.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the show, Verizon experts will be available for questions on Verizon\u2019s pioneering work in IoT, which includes a focused 4G LTE road map.
