4th 5G Spectrum & Policy Forum – MWC Shanghai 2019
The GSMA, along with its partners from GSA, hosted the 4th Annual 5G Spectrum & Policy Workshop at MWC19 Shanghai.
Asia is marching ahead on 5G as countries have started to release spectrum, such as the C-band, in preparation for commercial network deployment. At the same time, 2019 will mark a critical milestone as the World Radiocommunication Conference 2019 (WRC-19) will decide on new bands in the millimeter wave spectrum for IMT services, to potentially support 5G deployments
This year’s edition brought together over 300 delegates from governments and industry stakeholders to discuss the latest development and emerging trends, challenges and issues leading up to APG19-5 and WRC-19, 5G spectrum planning, and how governments and industry can effectively work together to achieve the best outcomes for the development of 5G.
